Purpose of Establishing the Journal
The purpose of establishing this journal is that such research is highly necessary in the contemporary era, as it contributes significantly to the growth of rational thought, the systematic integration of reason and religiosity, the realization of demonstrative theology, and the reinterpretation of religious ideas through new language, expression, and perspectives with analytical, critical, and comparative methods. This, in turn, helps resolve doubts and challenges regarding religiosity and strengthens the foundations of faith.
Aims and Vision
Explaining religious thought within a philosophical framework.
Fulfilling the goals of wisdom-centered principles and the rational foundations of Islam and the intellectual tradition of Shia theology.
Promoting philosophical thinking to foster rationality and critical thought in academia and, consequently, in society.
Given the geographical position of Jahrom University, located among Sunni communities in southern Iran, it is expected that through systematic and constructive research, the rationality and religiosity proposed by the Shia school will be introduced to seekers of truth, and the Journal of Rational Theology will serve as a voice for this fruitful dialogue.
Disseminating and introducing philosophical-theological thought.
Providing a platform for synergy, collaboration, and intellectual exchange among contemporary scholars of philosophy and theology through comparative, analytical, and critical research contributions.
Creating a constructive dialogue space for discussions on various religious issues and reinterpreting the philosophical-theological ideas of philosophers and theologians in a fresh language to develop philosophical-theological thought.
Encouraging and welcoming articles that address important religious issues, doubts, and challenges of faith regarding religions and sects by offering rational and philosophical approaches, providing theoretical solutions, and proposing practical ways to overcome challenges.
