Abstract
And the purpose of the present study is to clarify the position of teaching philosophy to children in strengthening thinking and using it to deepen religious knowledge. This research has been done by describing and analyzing explanatory, philosophical, psychological, moral books in the field of teaching philosophy to children and their intellectual and religious foundations.
Based on research findings, teaching philosophy to children has epistemological foundations and cognitive values. Humans are born with the ability to question and wonder. The philosophy curriculum for children should be carried out by education and this education should not be done through traditional methods and should be based on learning reasoning in the educational bases according to the cognitive evolution of students and using the teacher's manual for educators. The methods of teaching philosophy to children are: fostering logical thinking and giving importance to philosophical experiences. Theological effects of teaching philosophy to children including caring thinking, prevention of blind imitation, inappropriate judgment and prejudice. The psychological effects of teaching philosophy to children include the development of moral judgment, strengthening of emotional intelligence, development of social skills and citizenship skills, development of reasoning ability and speaking skills.
